Six checks behind every score.

Syntax

Strict address-format rules: length limits, allowed characters, dots and domain labels.

Mail server

A live DNS lookup for MX records, falling back to the domain's A record, as a sending server would.

Disposable

Matches the domain against throwaway inbox providers such as Mailinator and Yopmail.

Role accounts

Flags shared inboxes like info@, admin@ and support@ that rarely convert.

Typo catch

Detects misspelled big-provider domains (gmial.com) and suggests the fix.

Scoring

Every signal adjusts a 0 to 100 score: 80+ valid, 45 to 79 risky, below 45 invalid.

Mailbox-level probing over SMTP is blocked by most hosting networks, so a "valid" result confirms the domain can receive mail and the address shows no risk signals, not that the individual mailbox exists.
